Aviva Investors' real estate CEO Womack to retire

Ian Womack, chief executive of Aviva Investors' global real estate business, is retiring from his role, to be replaced by Ed Casal.

Womack will be leaving the business on 30 June, but Casal begins his new role before his departure, on 1 June. Casal (pictured) has been at the group since 2008 and is currently managing director for global indirect real estate. He has experience of direct and indirect real estate investment and previously held the role of CIO for real estate multi-manager. In his new role, he will oversee the group's global operations and will also join the executive committee.
