Ignis' distribution boss Edwards exits for Insight role

Tim Edwards has left his role as chief operating office of distribution at Ignis Asset Management to join Insight Investments.

Edwards will be joining Insight to work on the commercial aspect of distribution, a spokesman for the firm has confirmed. His job title and joining date have not yet been determined. His exit after a two-year spell at Ignis comes following the takeover of Ignis by Standard Life Investments in March. At the time, SLI chief executive Keith Skeoch said job losses will be inevitable as the group plans to implement cost savings worth £50m per year by 2017.
