Kames eyes move into multi-asset absolute return space

Kames Capital is considering a move into the multi-asset absolute return space, following strong inflows into its existing absolute return products and the outstanding success of the multi-billion pound GARS franchise.

Absolute return funds have seen a pickup in inflows since last year, and this January UK investors put the most money into the Targeted Absolute Return sector for over four years, according to the Investment Management Association. Meanwhile, Standard Life Investments’ GARS strategy has swelled to more than £30bn, having seen billions of inflows since last January.
