The Association of Investment Companies (AIC) has changed the name of five of its sectors, bringing them into line with comparable sectors in the Investment Management Association's (IMA) universe.
The changes mean Global Growth has been renamed the Global sector; Global Growth & Income becomes Global Equity Income; UK Growth becomes UK All Companies; UK High Income becomes UK Equity & Bond Income; and UK Growth & Income becomes UK Equity Income. AIC director general Ian Sayers (pictured) said the changes would make it easier for advisers to compare like-for-like funds and trusts.
