FOUR tests water with European long/short fund for Fuschillo

FOUR Capital Partners has soft-launched a European equity long/short fund after Sanlam provided seed capital for the portfolio.

Sanlam has seeded the FOUR European Long/Short fund with $6m, enabling the portfolio to be launched in a UCITS format at the end of September. The group does not plan to actively market the fund at this stage. Run by FOUR founder Dino Fuschillo (pictured), as well as Marco Ricci, the new fund builds on the pair’s existing long-only European mandate as well as their long/short expertise. Fuschillo ran long/short portfolios as head of European equities at Martin Currie, while Ricci managed a hedge fund for Marinvest from 2009-2011. “We do not have any plans to market the fund at the ...
