Why Brazier and Steer are backing a Daily Mail renaissance

Threadneedle's Simon Brazier and Artemis' Tim Steer have been buying up shares in Daily Mail & General Trust as they back the business' under-recognised strengths to flourish.

Brazier and Threadneedle’s wider UK equity desk now owns just under 4% of the company across their portfolios, after the manager added to the position in his £1.2bn UK fund since the turn of the year. Artemis UK Growth manager Steer, meanwhile, initiated a position in his £440m fund in the middle of last month as part of a renewed focus on more domestic-orientated names. Both Brazier and Steer said there is much further to go for a stock which has risen 56% in the past 12 months as it transforms into a business focused more on property services and B2B publishing as well as newspapers...
