Two-tier financial advice is not widely favoured by the general public, according to research from intermediary group RJ Temple. In a survey of 640 people across the country, 12% said they might use a 'lower tier' adviser, as proposed by Sandler, if they needed the appropriate type of simple product, while 7% said they would if it was cheaper. The majority, the survey found, would prefer to go to someone who was fully qualified to advise on all products.
