The DWS UK Blue Chip fund has its third manager in just over two years following the departure of Michael Crawford from the group.
Nick Evans, who has worked at DWS for the past 19 years, has now taken responsibility for the £179m portfolio, which Nigel Ridge ran before Crawford.
Crawford left DWS last week following a restructuring of the UK investment team and process. DWS takes a house view on stocks, with a team of company research analysts feeding ideas into the UK Portfolio Selection team (PST). This team has restructured to include fund managers Evans, Graham Ashby, Phil Doel and Peter Lees.
David Chellew, product manager at DWS, said Crawford was not a member of the revised group structure and it was necessary to have a lead manager on the DWS UK Blue Chip fund who is also a member of the PST.
