With the US markets closed due to Thanksgiving, trading started relatively slowly in the UK although they have picked up this afternoon. Mining stocks have suffered as investors bank gains made on Thursday with Platinum miner Lonmin leading the descent with a drop of 8.05%. On the upside, some financial stocks are doing well with Aviva positing a gain of 5.5% by 3:30pm. However, RBS has continued to fall since this morning's news posting a loss of 3.64%.
