In her first interview since joining Allianz Global Investors, Stephanie Carbonneil tells Jayna Rana the factors that need to be considered before launching a trust and why she is excited to be working in the closed-ended sector once again.

Stephanie Carbonneil, who joined AllianzGI as head of investment trusts in September last year following Melissa Gallagher's departure, has held various roles in fund selection, portfolio management and multi-asset across the US, continental Europe and the UK. However, it was not until her time as a senior investment manager at Architas in 2010 that she first worked with investment companies.
