Geopolitical tensions rear their head in a meaningful way at least once a year, as a number of concerns join forces to generate headlines.

These issues matter, of course, but are nearly always grossly exaggerated. The effort spent worrying, and the commissions spent trading, are not usually justified by improvements in return.
