UK stockmarket under-owned by global investors

Despite disappointing economic growth over the first quarter of the year, there is more to the UK's performance over the last few months than first meets the eye.

Sluggish growth of only 0.1% in Q1 highlights the impact of political uncertainty on the UK economy. However, it is fair to say that poor weather over the first few months of the year also contributed significantly to this.  Against this backdrop, while global growth has remained robust more widely, in recent months it has come off the boil somewhat.  With regards to composition, the UK stockmarket is currently under-owned by global investors.
