Donald Trump's election success has resulted in remarkable and substantial sector rotations within the UK equity market, writes Cornelian's Hector Kilpatrick.

Although investors were fearful of a Trump win, his acceptance speech was reassuring where the only thing he committed to do was to kickstart US economic growth in part via a substantial infrastructure investment programme. This has caught investors' imaginations and resulted in a substantial move up in economically sensitive stocks and share price falls in bond proxies (or expensive defensives).
