Quilter gender pay gap stagnates as 'more needs to be done'

Median gender pay gap remains flat at 29%

Quilter's median gender pay gap has remained close to levels reported last year of 35% as the firm acknowledges "more needs to be done" to address income inequality.

The firm reported some success with its mean gender pay gap falling four percentage points, from April 2017 to 35% as at April 2018, and its median bonus gap falling two percentage points from 41% to 29% over the same period. What did this investment firm do to eradicate its gender pay gap? Just 0.5 percentage points more women received a bonus than at the same time last year, rising to 85.6%, while 84.8% of men received a bonus compared to 83.3% in 2017.
