Why are the Panama Papers so engrossing and relevant to all of us thousands of miles away in England?

On the one hand, who would have thought our Prime Minister would find himself lined up alongside despots like Syria's Bashar al-Assad, the North Koreans, a crony of Putin and President Xi of China? Of course, the PM is voluntarily 'standing' alongside these other characters, and he has found himself lumped in there as a result of a legitimate investment fund domiciled in Panama, which his late father was involved with. We would like to think whoever the leader of our country is would have enough sense of propriety to know what is right or wrong is different from what 'looks' like righ...
