On 10 July, Investment Week hosted the 19th Fund Manager of the Year Awards, in association with FundsNetwork.

It was a spectacular night designed to reward the best talent the investment industry has to offer, and the calibre of winners was once again extremely high. Scooping the coveted Global Group of the Year award for 2014 was Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI), which also won two individual fund awards for its North American Equity and Global Equity funds. The past 12 months have been eventful for OMGI, most notably when it managed to attract Richard Buxton across from Schroders, a major coup for the fund group.
