US firm launches ETF to capitalise on growth of ETF industry

US firm Toroso Investments has launched an exchange-traded fund investing in businesses set to benefit from the growth of the ETF industry, including the likes of BlackRock and State Street.

The ETF Industry Exposure and Financial Services ETF (TETF) began trading on the New York Stock Exchange 20 April, tracking the newly-created Toroso ETF industry index. TETF will seek to track, before fees and expenses, the price and yield of the index and provide exposure to companies which derive revenue from the ETF industry. This includes ETF sponsors, data companies, exchanges and custody providers. ETF Securities reports highest inflows since 2009 ETF assets in the US have grown from $1.2trn to $2.7trn in the past five years, and the vehicles have become more popular in Europ...
