AllianzGI brings on two teams to expand alternatives platform

Allianz Global Investors has continued the expansion of its alternatives business with the hire of two investment teams from parent company Allianz Group's investment management arm.

The teams join from Allianz Investment Management (AIM), part of Allianz Group, and will work under AllianzGI's global private debt platform, strengthening the firm's alternatives segment. Allianz Group's corporate loans team, led by Thomas Schneider, and its US private placement team, headed by Charles Dudley, will join the platform while continuing to manage money for AIM, as well as extending their services to external clients.
