Unigestion UK appoints former Schroders man as chairman

Boutique asset manager Unigestion has hired Miles O'Connor as chairman of the board for its UK business.

O'Connor previously held senior roles at Schroder Investment Management, including head of UK institutional and head of EMEA institutional, and has over 30 years of corporate management experience in Europe. He has also worked in senior management roles at Barclays Global Investors and was head of international business development at Bank of America/WorldInvest. The appointment follows the expansion of the firm's London team from 25 to 40 members, which also saw it move to a new headquarters in Stratford Place, W1, London.
