Argonaut to launch European Income Opps fund following Liontrust transfer

Argonaut Capital plans to launch a new European equity income fund for Greg Bennett, after its previous two strategies in this space moved with former manager Olly Russ to Liontrust earlier this year.

The firm previously ran the £168m European Income and £130m Enhanced European Income funds but these were transferred to Liontrust after Russ joined the group. However, subject to regulatory approval, Argonaut is now launching the European Income Opportunities fund, which aims to achieve a yield "far higher" than the MSCI Europe ex-UK index through investing in higher-yielding companies with sustainable dividends.
