Liontrust's Luthman to retire after 30-year career

Bailey and Clark will continue to run macro thematic funds

Liontrust's Jan Luthman, co-manager on the group's macro thematic funds, is to retire after 30 years in investments, handing the £600m range to co-managers Stephen Bailey and Jamie Clark.

Luthman (pictured) has worked in investment for nearly three decades, including 14 years of managing money. Alongside Bailey, he has run the £553.9m Liontrust Macro Equity Income and £53.9m Macro UK Growth funds since launch in 2003 and 2002, respectively. Clark joined the team in 2003, under the funds' previous parent group Walker Crips Asset Managers. The company was acquired by Liontrust in 2012.
