Kames hires SLI's Ennett as high yield head; Milburn to return in Q3

Kames Capital has hired David Ennett from Standard Life Investments to lead its high yield team, as it announces Phil Milburn will return to work in the third quarter following a period of ill health.

The group said Ennett will join in September 2016 as head of high yield and as co-manager of the £1.4bn High Yield Bond and £315m Global High Yield Bond funds alongside Milburn (pictured), who returns in the role as head of investment strategy. Kames announced in September 2015 that Milburn would be taking time out as he recovered from post viral fatigue syndrome, handing the funds to co-manager Claire McGuckin. Following the appointment of Ennett, Kames announced today McGuckin has left the business and David Roberts, head of fixed income, will be responsible for the high yield funds...
