For over ten years, head of UK equities, Mark Barnett, and fund managers Martin Walker and Ciaran Mallon, have together navigated one of the most turbulent periods in recent financial history. Here, they talk about their individual approaches, what brings them together and their experiences of investing through the last decade.

You have worked together for over ten years - what are the dynamics between the three of you? Mark Barnett (MB): We are very different personalities with different backgrounds and from different academic disciplines, so in that sense we are bringing together some quite distinct elements and that has worked well over time. The starting point is: we are different people and we respect that. Secondly, because of our accumulated experience, there are areas where we each have distinct strengths and we are trying to combine those strengths in order to arrive at the right investment decisions...
