MP calls for Prime Minister's resignation amid Panama scandal

PM profited from ownership in offshore fund

A Labour MP has called for Prime Minister David Cameron to resign after he admitted he had owned, sold and made a profit on shares held in a controversial fund linked to the Panama tax avoidance scandal.

Cameron's (pictured) admission he had held shares in his father's offshore fund before he became PM prompted Labour MP and Treasury Select Committee member John Mann to call him a "hypocrite" before saying he "has no choice but to resign". Labour's deputy leader Tom Watson also said the PM may need to quit and has more questions to answer. He told Sky News: "He has to be fully transparent.
