Mobius steps back from TEMG leadership

Will remain as portfolio manager

Emerging market veteran Mark Mobius is to step down from day to day management of the Templeton Emerging Markets Group(TEMG).

The move is a result of US parent Franklin Templeton bringing its two emerging market divisions under one umbrella. Mobius (pictured) will pass control of the division to Stephen Dover, who is currently chief investment officer at Franklin Local Asset Management. Dover will also become CIO of the Emerging Markets Group. The changes are due to take effect on 15 April and Mobius will remain at the firm as executive chairman of TEMG and a portfolio manager.
