Woodford: Staying or leaving EU is a 'nil-sum game'

Neil Woodford has commented publicly on the implications of a potential Brexit for the UK economy, following a report by Capital Economics commissioned by his firm, saying both the 'for' and 'against' camps hold no economic ground.

The manager (pictured) of the £8bn CF Woodford Equity Income fund said he had heard both arguments - that Brexit would be incredibly beneficial to the UK economy, and that it would be very damaging - and believes both of them to be "bogus". "Based on research we have commissioned from Capital Economics, and from Lazarus and others, I think it is pretty clear it is a bogus argument," the fund manager said in a video interview.
