Baillie Gifford has appointed Praveen Kumar as manager of the Shin Nippon trust, replacing John MacDougall who moves to take up another role at the firm.
Kumar, who has worked closely with MacDougall over the past 12 months, will take over management of the trust on 1 December. After eight years as manager of Shin Nippon, MacDougall will take up another role within Baillie Gifford covering global equities. The pair will work closely to ensure a smooth transition for the portfolio. Kumar previously worked for FKI Logistex before joining Baillie Gifford in 2008.
