Former chief exec steps down after six years

BNP Paribas Investment Partners has appointed Frederic Janbon as its new chief executive, as Philippe Marchessaux steps down from his role after six years.

Janbon (pictured) will succeed Marchessaux, who will support him during a transistion period, beginning today. The former chief executive will then join a different part of the business in a new role. Janbon has been head of global fixed income at the firm from 2005 until the end of last year.
