Schroders' Banyard to exit handing funds to co-manager Brough

Brough will be sole head of pan-European smaller companies

Schroders' co-head of pan-European small companies and manager of a range of small-cap funds Rosemary Banyard, is to leave the group to pursue new opportunities, handing her responsibilities to co-manager Andy Brough.

Banyard (pictured), who is co-manager of the £578.7m Schroder UK Smaller Companies fund and the £168.4m UK Mid Cap investment trust, will continue in her role until 31 March 2016. Following her departure, Brough will become head of the team and sole lead manager of both funds - something which has already been agreed by the board of the UK Mid Cap trust. The group has also hired Jean Roche from Hargreave Hale as a fund manager in the pan-European small and mid cap team.
