ETF Securities hires Coutts man as head of research

ETF Securities has hired James Butterfill from Coutts as head of research and investment strategy in its London office.

In his new role Butterfill (pictured) will report to chief executive of the group, Mark Weeks. Prior to joining ETF Securities, Butterfill worked at HSBC and most recently at Coutts, as a multi-asset fund manager and global equity strategist. In his latest role he managed an £8.8bn discretionary fund of funds, and was also involved in developing the company's research offering.
