City Financial's Harris awaits 'peak of anxiety' before EM move

Mark Harris, head of multi-asset at City Financial, is eyeing entry points to buy back into emerging markets, particularly Brazilian debt and Indian equities.

Harris (pictured), who runs four funds for the group, thinks it is currently too early to raise his emerging market position, but he is waiting for signs the market is bottoming out, which will present fresh opportunities. Is now the time to venture back into EMs? Currently, his only holding in emerging markets is a small position in Tom Naughton's soft-closed $873m Prusik Asian Equity Income fund.
