Dalton names Vaiani replacement on Melchior Global Multi-Asset fund

Nick Mottram, head of the global equities team at Dalton Strategic Partnership, has taken over management of the Melchior Global Multi-Asset fund, following the departure of former manager Luca Vaiani.

Vaiani (pictured) left the firm "by mutual consent" less than three years after joining in September 2012, as revealed by Investment Week in July. He managed the firm's Melchior Global Multi-Asset fund, which was the result of a merger of the Melchior Global Balanced fund, run by Rupert Caldecott, and the Melchior Global Active fund managed by DSP's founder Andrew Dalton, who passed away in April 2011. A spokesman for the group said: "The fund is still being managed to the same absolute return remit, but by the global equities team headed by Nick Mottram." Mottram joined the group ...
