Barings expands UK multi-asset range with income product

Baring Asset Management has launched a multi-asset income fund for former Schroders manager Sonja Laud, targeting the UK retirement market.

Laud (pictured) joined Barings a year ago to head up the multi-asset income team, following the departures of Andrew Cole, Percival Stanion and Shaniel Ramjee for Pictet Asset Management. She will be running the new fund with a 5% indicative annual yield target and a monthly income distribution. The fund has been designed for income seekers in light of the pension changes announced by Chancellor George Osborne last year and will sit in the IA Mixed Investment 20%-60% Shares sector.
