Fidelity's Nicholas Price to take over Japanese Values trust

The board of the Fidelity Japanese Values trust has appointed Nicholas Price, who currently runs a number of the group's Japanese funds, as its new manager.

He will take over on 1 September following a handover period from existing manager Shinji Higaki, who has run the trust since 2007. Price currently manages the Fidelity Japan Aggressive fund, which has returned 18% over one year to 30 July versus an IA Japan sector average of 14.2%, according to FE. He is based in Tokyo and has worked at Fidelity since 1993, becoming a portfolio manager in 1999. Will 'totally undiscovered' stocks drive Japan returns higher?
