Gross gets co-manager as Janus acquires Australian asset manager

Janus Capital has acquired fixed income asset manager Kapstream Capital, in a move which sees Bill Gross gain a co-manager on his Unconstrained Bond fund.

Janus has acquired a majority interest in Australia-based Kapstream for an initial cash consideration of $85m, with the option to purchase the remaining 49% of the company in future. The deal brings Janus global macro fixed income assets to $8.7bn (£5.6bn).
