LSE opens up UK stockmarket to Hong Kong firms

The London Stock Exchange and Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission have reached a deal allowing Hong Kong investors easier and cheaper access to UK-quoted companies than ever before.

Until now, investors based in Hong Kong could only access UK shares through a UK broker, adding an extra layer of fees to their trades. From now on, the LSE Group will allow Hong Kong firms to become members of the London Stock Exchange, allowing them to use their own broker and buy shares more easily and cheaply.
