WisdomTree launches sterling hedged German equity ETF

Exchange-traded product provider WisdomTree has launched the sterling hedged WisdomTree Germany Equity UCITS ETF on the London Stock Exchange.

The new ETF is designed to offer broad exposure to the German equity market, while hedging the currency fluctuations between sterling and the euro. The product will track the WisdomTree Germany Hedged Equity index, first established in April 2013, and will have a TER of 35bps per annum. It invests in dividend paying companies that derive less than 80% of their revenue from within Germany, tilting the focus toward exporters, which tend to perform better during periods of euro weakness.
