Artemis' Tyndall to step back as Dodd becomes chairman

Artemis' Mark Tyndall is stepping aside from his post as senior partner, moving into a non-executive role on 31 December 2015, as John Dodd becomes the group's chairman.

Mark Murray, who has been chief operating officer since 2001, will become senior partner. Dodd replaces current chair Hamish Grossart, who will also move to a non-exec position. Dodd, as chairman, will continue to run the likes of the Artemis Alpha trust and the Global Energy fund. The group's wider fund range will also remain unaffected. In a note to clients, Tyndall said he will remain a partner and will retain "a substantial stake" in both the partnership and the funds that Artemis manages.
