Woodford, Ruffer, and Invesco back Oakley private equity fundraising

Woodford Investment Management, Ruffer, Sarasin and Invesco are among the groups backing a new share placing by Oakley Capital's private equity trust.

Oakley Capital Investments Limited (OCIL), originally the backer of Woodford’s new venture, is seeking to raise £130m for its Oakley Capital Private Equity fund from new and existing investors. It will place 78,787,879 new ordinary shares at 165p per share. Woodford IM has committed to buy more than 19 million shares, valued at around £32m. Ruffer will take a stake worth approximately £25m, while Invesco will buy £37m and Sarasin & Partners will take around £9m of shares.
