Kames promotes Adams to head of equities

Stephen Adams, head of UK equities at Kames Capital, has been promoted to head of the group's wider equities business.

Adams has been head of UK equities at the group for a decade and started at Kames fourteen years ago. Prior to that, he was at Abbey National Asset Managers. In his new role, Adams will lead 26 members of the UK and global equities teams. He will retain responsibility for the £370m Kames UK Equity fund, which outperformed last year, returning 0.2% compared to -0.3% for the average fund in the Investment Association UK All Companies sector.
