Ex-Standard Chartered exec joins Brewin board

Former Standard Chartered chief operating officer for wholesale banking Kath Cates has joined the board of Brewin Dolphin as a non-executive director.

Cates, who is currently a non-executive director and head of the risk committee at insurer RSA, joined the wealth manager's board as of yesterday. She previously spent three years at Asia-focused lender Standard Chartered, having spent the prior 22 years working at UBS and its predecessor SBC.
