Schroders launches onshore version of QEP Global EM fund

Schroders is launching an onshore version of its ISF QEP Global Emerging Markets fund, to be managed by the QEP investment team headed by Justin Abercrombie (pictured).

The new fund will mirror the investment strategy of the existing Luxembourg-domiciled vehicle launched in March 2012. The offshore fund has beaten the Equity Emerging Markets sector over the year to 11 August, according to FE, returning 11% versus an average return of 10%. The quantitative equity products (QEP) investment team will analyse a broad investment universe of over 4,000 companies across emerging markets on a daily basis, focusing on company valuations and business quality to pick stocks.
