Update: Himsworth to depart City Financial for Fidelity

City Financial's head of UK equities Leigh Himsworth is to join Fidelity as the firm acquires his £70m UK Opportunities fund.

Himsworth (pictured), who joined City Financial in October 2012 when it acquired his former firm Eden Financial, runs City Financial's £70m UK Opportunities fund and the £10m UK Income Opportunities fund. He is now moving to Fidelity, where he will join his former Eden Financial colleague Dan Roberts. The UK Opportunities fund has been acquired by Fidelity and the firm said Himsworth's bottom-up approach with a small- and mid-cap focus would add a new option for Fidelity equity investors.
