The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has banned former BGC Partners senior executive Anthony Verrier due to concerns over his integrity, after he was found to have poached former colleagues from a rival firm.
The FCA has wanted to ban Verrier for two years, after a series of court trials found he had orchestrated a poaching spree after quitting at his former employer. Verrier quit his job as second most senior executive broker at inter-dealer brokerage Tullett Prebon in 2008, and later orchestrated poaching former colleagues from the firm for his new employer BGC.
