Ignis expands absolute return range with EMD fund

Ignis Asset Management has launched an Absolute Return Emerging Market Debt fund for Dan Beharall in a move to expand its absolute return product range.

The fund is based on a strategy that has been run for an institutional client since January 2012. Beharall (pictured) joined Ignis in 2010 from Henderson Global Investors and is head of emerging markets fixed income He is supported by Sailesh Lad, deputy portfolio manager, and Mikhail Volodchenko, market analyst. The fund aims to deliver a positive total return in excess of cash on a rolling 12-month basis, independent of bond market conditions.
