City Financial creates fund research service for Toogood

City Financial plans to launch an independent fund research service in the spring for Peter Toogood and Gill Hutchinson.

The service, named the Adviser Centre, will be web-based and aimed primarily at financial advisers, helping them streamline their business processes in the post-RDR environment. Toogood and Hutchison joined City Financial's multi-asset team, led by Mark Harris, on 1 October after leaving Morningstar OBSR in June. The new service will offer independent fund research and general market and industry commentary to financial advisers. The team will recommend around 100 established, actively managed funds. It will create a ‘Positive Watch' list of funds, as well as a platform for comment...
