St James's Place puts Woodford's mandates under review

Wealth management firm St James's Place is reviewing two mandates managed by Neil Woodford after his shock departure announcement yesterday.

Woodford (pictured) currently runs a £1.2bn UK High Income mandate and the £117m Strategic Managed fund for St James's Place, which are available exclusively its clients. However, after the news Woodford is to leave Invesco Perpetual in April, SJP has placed the mandates under review. The wealth manager said: "In the time until Neil's departure, the committee, working closely alongside Stamford Associates, will reflect on the options available and determine the best course of action for the benefit of our clients."
