Ex-Janus and OMAM distribution head joins MacKay Shields

Fixed income boutique MacKay Shields has hired Matthew Nagele, previously at Janus Capital Group, as head of distribution for UK and EMEA.

In his latest role, Nagele (pictured) was as head of UK at Janus, and has also worked at Old Mutual Asset Managers (OMAM) as managing director for distribution. In the new role he will be based in London, focusing on developing the group's business throughout Europe. He will report to John Akkerman, global head of distribution. Akkerman said: "Matt's appointment demonstrates our commitment to continue building upon our existing relationships both in the UK and throughout EMEA.
