How Matthews Asia plans to crack the UK market

Matthews Asia, the US-based Asia-only fund house, is set to make a further push into the UK market after three years of preparatory work.

Last month the group hired former Invesco Perpetual sales manager Simon Dale to lead its UK and European business development, underlining its commitment to the UK. With $24bn in assets under management, the fund house accounts for 48% of all actively managed Asian equity mutual funds in the US. However, the UK is a different prospect.
