OMGI reshuffles bond desk and plans Macro fund for Cowley

Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) has reshuffled its fixed income desk, promoting Christine Johnson and Stewart Cowley, and is launching a new Macro fund for the team.

Investment Week can reveal Cowley - who is currently head of fixed income at the group - has been promoted to the newly created position of investment director for fixed income and macro, while Johnson has been promoted to head of fixed income. Johnson will continue to report to Cowley (pictured), while the team has also been expanded with two new members - Simon Prior and Deepa Abraham - joining the desk. Abraham joined the company in August as a senior credit analyst to work alongside Bastian Wagner. Prior joins as a credit analyst from Old Mutual Group. OMGI said it is looking to e...
